Heartful Roasts is more than just a collection of exceptional coffees; it’s a heartfelt
mission to support the wild horses of the American West. At Buck Off Coffee, we are all
horse lovers, but our owner, Dr. Brian, has a particularly deep connection with these
magnificent creatures. Some even call him a modern-day “horse whisperer.”

In 2017, Dr. Brian had a life-changing encounter with a wild herd on the Wind River
Reservation in Wyoming. The herd approached him, allowing him to come within 100
feet. For nearly 20 minutes, they stood together in a profound, spiritual exchange before
the horses trotted off into the distance. This experience left an indelible mark on Dr.
Brian’s heart, inspiring him to find a way to give back to these majestic animals.

Thus, Heartful Roasts was born, named after Dr. Brian’s healing business, The Heartful
Horse Healer. This special collection of coffees generates a $4 donation per pound sold, which is donated to organizations dedicated to addressing the challenges faced by wild horses in the United States. We believe in the intelligence, creativity, and compassion of those working tirelessly to find solutions for these issues. By supporting these non-profits, we aim to contribute to a sensible and caring approach to wild horse management.
